PAIN, PAIN, AND MORE PAIN

                HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY 
This is a large topic when it comes to medication today.  There have been numerous reports about man-made hormones having serious side effects when taken over a long period of time.  Patients taking these products have become skeptical and often look for alternatives.  We can work with your physician to prepare different forms of hormone replacement from capsules to topical creams.  Our hormones are derived from plants, not animals.  Estriol, estradiol, progesterone and testosterone are the most common chemicals used for natural hormone replacement.  We can compound them in a variety of forms and strengths.  We also have compounds containing L-arginine and aminophylline used for diminished libido in post menopausal women. 

                           NAUSEA AND VOMITING
It happens to all of us at some point.  When we suffer from constant nausea and vomiting, we obviously can't take anything by mouth that would be beneficial.  Some of us aren't interested in using suppositories either.  In this case, we could compound a topical promethazine gel to apply to the wrist.  It is extremely effective and easy to use.  Of course we would have to discuss strengths with your physician. 

                                  PLANTAR WART
Plantar warts are warts of the sole, or plantar surface, of the foot.  Since they are under pressure they grow inward, causing pain.  We have a compounded solution that works well for removing plantar warts.  Usually it just takes a short consultation with us and your podiatrist to make your pain from a plantar wart disappear. 

                           OVER THE COUNTER
There are some products that can be bought without a prescription: 

Ibuprofen gel works wonders for pain management, whether it is a sore muscle, or just a common ache.  Just apply to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day as needed.

Terpin hydrate DM is a wonderful solution for those aggravating head colds and nagging coughs.  Just one teaspoon 3 to 4 times a day is all you need.

Medicated petroleum jelly is great for minor cuts and wounds to aid in the healing process as well as help to fight off infection.

Structured water used topically can be a very effective antiseptic.  It also helps to boost the healing process.
